In Asia, matte lip color is still widely preferred.

Due to these differences, we developed packaging that could accommodate various types of formulations.Matte and semi-matte formulas are still very much on-trend,” says Christelle Godefroit, product manager, HCP Packaging. “This pushes us to offer more wiper options to help with the compatibility of longer lasting formulas,” she says.Jill Manning, director, product innovation, HCT Group, says, “We see requests for hybrid, skincare/color products that both treat and color the lips.” HCT Group offers a turnkey Lip Lotion that moisturizes and plumps, with a subtle wash of color. “The lotion format is an innovative take on the trend, as many other hybrid formulas fall more in the realm of serums, oils and concentrates,” says Manning.
